Welcome to Roll Society.
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the Roll Society platform, including the app, website, and any related features or services.
By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the platform.
1. Nature of the Service
Roll Society is a digital platform dedicated to board games and may allow users to, among other things:
- Manage game collections
- Create and manage game versions
- Upload images associated with versions
- Use social and interaction features, where available
- Access additional features made available as the service evolves
The platform is currently in an early-stage development phase (MVP). For that reason, it may be modified, updated, limited, interrupted, or discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time.
2. User Account
Certain features may require you to create an account.
When creating and using an account, you agree to:
- Provide true, current, and complete information
- Keep that information up to date where necessary
- Protect access to your account
- Not improperly share your authentication methods
- Use the platform in compliance with these Terms and applicable law
You are responsible for the activity carried out through your account, except to the extent it results from a security failure attributable to Roll Society.
3. User-Generated Content
The platform may allow you to upload, create, publish, share, or otherwise make available content, including, without limitation:
- Images
- Titles
- Descriptions
- Version data
- Profile information
- Lists, collections, and other content associated with your use of the platform
- Other content associated with your use of Roll Society
You remain responsible for the content you upload or make available through the platform.
By uploading or sharing content, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the rights, permissions, or legal basis necessary to do so
- The content does not infringe copyright, trademarks, personality rights, privacy rights, or other third-party rights
- The content is not illegal, misleading, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate
- The content complies with these Terms and any additional rules applicable on the platform
4. Specific Rules for Images
Images uploaded to Roll Society must represent, in a neutral and non-commercial way, the relevant game or version.
You may not upload images that:
- Contain visible watermarks
- Include store logos, commercial branding, or unnecessary promotional elements
- Display advertising messages, campaigns, discounts, prices, or affiliate references
- Have been taken from copyright-protected sources without authorization or another valid legal basis
- Are clearly inappropriate, misleading, or unrelated to the content they are associated with
Roll Society may remove, hide, or restrict images that do not comply with these rules.
5. License over Uploaded Content
By uploading or making content available on Roll Society, you grant Roll Society a license that is:
- Non-exclusive
- Royalty-free
- Worldwide
- Limited
- Revocable to the extent permitted by the nature of the service and any content already made public
This license exists solely to allow Roll Society to:
- Host, store, and process the content
- Reproduce and display the content within the platform
- Technically adapt the content for operation, security, moderation, and presentation purposes
- Make the content available to other users in accordance with the visibility settings you choose
Ownership of the content remains with you or with whoever lawfully holds the relevant rights.
6. Public Content and Reuse Within the Platform
When you mark certain content as public, that content may be viewed by other platform users and, where the feature allows it, reused within Roll Society itself, always within the functional context of the platform.
Such reuse does not transfer any intellectual property rights to other users and does not authorize use outside the platform, except where required by law or separately authorized by the rights holder.
7. Moderation
Roll Society reserves the right, where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations, protect users, or preserve platform integrity, to:
- Remove content
- Limit content visibility
- Suspend features
- Suspend or terminate accounts in cases of serious or repeated violations
Moderation decisions will be made according to internal security, compliance, and platform operation criteria.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users
- Use the platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- Manipulate, exploit, or attempt to compromise the operation of the platform
- Use bots, scripts, or automation in an abusive or unauthorized manner
- Upload illegal content or content without the necessary rights
- Attempt to bypass technical measures, access rules, or security mechanisms
9. Suspension or Termination of the Account
Roll Society may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account whenever:
- These Terms are violated
- There is a risk to the community, third parties, or the platform
- It is necessary to protect the security, stability, or integrity of the service
- Such action is required by legal obligation or lawful order from a competent authority
Where appropriate and proportionate, Roll Society may choose less severe measures before definitive termination.
10. Service Availability and Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided as available and as it exists at any given time.
Roll Society does not guarantee that the platform will operate uninterruptedly, continuously, completely free from errors, or always free from technical failures.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Roll Society will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages, or loss of opportunity resulting from the use or unavailability of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not legally permitted.
11. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account through the features made available on the platform, where such features exist.
Unless otherwise required for legal, technical, or security reasons, personal data associated with the account will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to the Terms
Roll Society may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Whenever the changes are relevant, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate them through the platform or by other appropriate means.
Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the European Union and, subsidiarily, by the national law applicable to the person or entity responsible for the platform, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that users may have under applicable law.
