Roll Society is an app to plan board game nights with less friction. You see the players around you, get a sense of what everyone likes, create a group, propose games, vote, and sort out who's coming — all in one place. We're in beta, building it layer by layer with the community.

BoardGameGeek is a historical reference in the hobby and plays a very important role for the community. At Roll Society, we are following a different path: we want to build an experience based on our own data and curation, focused on helping solve real player problems, without depending on external sources. For us, more than gathering information, what matters is using it in a useful way to discover games, organize collections, and, in the future, better connect people, games, and spaces.

Because we take copyright seriously. Without permission to use official images, we prefer not to add them to the platform. That is why, right now, some games appear with visual placeholders by category. At the same time, users can add images of their own games when creating versions with their own photos. In the future, whenever we have authorization from publishers, we may add official images.

Because we want to make sure the content shown on the platform is original or used with the proper permission. Right now, we have not added game descriptions yet, but it is something we want to develop over time as we build our own content for the platform.
